Five ways to prevent your drain blocking
- Observe what you put down the sink: Try not to use chemical cleaning products if you know of a traditional method. Don’t pour oil down the sink or food as this will certainly cause blocked drains.
- Observe what you put down the toilet: You shouldn’t put anything but toilet tissue down the toilet as items such as cotton buds and pads will certainly block the drain.
- Use a kitchen sink strainer and clear all your plates before you wash them or place them in the dishwasher to ensure food does not escape down the drain.
- Use a bath strainer to ensure no hair goes down the drain.
